Meditation - January

Instructor:	Susan M. Valentine, MSW CCDCI Susan is a counselor in the mental health and chemical dependency field, and loves her work. But she will be the first to admit that meditation is her passion. She has taught classes throughout the greater Seattle Metro area, and has recorded a wonderful guided meditation on CD. Her CD is entitled simply "Take a journey down THE CANYON RIVER". It was written and narrated by Susan, and recorded at Marnorosa Studio in Carnation, Washington. Copies of The Canyon River are available at our store for $17.95 plus Washington state sales tax. Cost:	$12.00 per class or $35.00 for the series of four classes. Pre-registration is required. Package price refunds will be given in advance for classes withdrawn from - refunds prorated at the per class price. One week advance notice required for refunds.
Class Size:	Maximum number of students is 15, minimum is three (3). Optimum size is 9 to 12 students.
What to Bring:	If you have an exercise mat, yoga mat, or meditation cushion, please bring it with you. If you don't have one of these, don't worry, we'll have necessary materials for those who are pre-registered. Please make a note of this on your registration form.
Curriculum:	A series of four classes on spirituality and meditation. Each class will include education and discussion followed by a guided meditation. We will also be including discussion on Step 11: "Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, asking only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out." The classes will be comfortable for the person who meditates daily and simple for the person who has never been able to relax in their life. Education and explanation will be provided, but "lecture" is not what it's about. Discussion and interaction is encouraged.
