Dharma Teaching Altar Cards

The word Dharma is the term used for Teachings of the Buddha.  Originally the Pali or Sanskrit word referred to the ultimate truth, or way things are.  It was about 2600 years ago that Siddartha Guatama, the Buddha Shakyamuni began teaching his followers, and thus began Turning the Wheel of the Dharma.

Incredibly beautiful, each Dharma Altar Card is protected with thick optical-quality lamination (10ml.) for long life.

The verses on the front of each of these cards contain profound Buddhist teachings.  The back of each card provides commentary to help illuminate the essential meaning of the verse.  The image behind the verse on each card is a detailed reproduction of a hand-painted Thangka (tong-ka), depicting a Buddha or Bodhisattva representing the embodiment of these teachings.
