The
title explains much of what it's about. Power Vs. Force: The Hidden
Determinants of Human Behavior. Dr. Hawkins has documented a 20 to 30
year process of mapping levels of human consciousness, and looking into
ways that the data might be used. One of the ideas presented is that
FORCE is a low energy that produces counter force, while POWER is a
non-opposing energy, thus there is no opposition, and therefore a higher
energy. I know I'm not explaining it correctly, and even putting my
words to it is likely to produce some opposition and debate. That's not
my intent.
If
you're interested in non-religious spiritual growth and scientifically
documented higher consciousness, get this book. It's fairly analytical,
but written in easy-to-understand layman's terms (for the most part).
The methods of research are documented and explained. The doctor's
personal history is explained... at least it's described. As with
anything, one may choose to believe whether something is the truth or
not regardless of the reliability and veracity of the object being
believed in. I've seen the method demonstrated. I've experienced the
method personally, both in medically supervised conditions and
otherwise. Now I've read about how applied kinesiology is unveiling long
sought-after answers to age-old questions.
The ideas presented in this book, with
irrefutable
scientific methods and data to corroborate them, are extremely powerful, with
far-reaching implications. Implications we are not as yet even
aware of.

Shipping is a wealth-killer. The
only thing I have to say is that supporting a local, independant
bookseller is the best way to develop a relationship with someone who
can bring in the kind of books you want.
